Luis Pinho has been with the Owls since October 2019 not long into Garry Monk’s tenure at the club, with the Portuguese physio coming in to try and help lighten the injury load at Hillsborough.

Now though, with the club very much in a transition phase, Pinho has confirmed on his LinkedIn account that he has made the move to Forest following the Owls’ relegation into League One.

Pinho follows Head of Sports Science and Medicine, Tony Strudwick, out of the exit door at S6, with Strudwick heading south to join Arsenal’s youth academy as he brings his time in Sheffield to a close.

The Portuguese’s exit doesn’t seem to have come as a surprise to the Owls, who posted an advertisement for a ‘first team physiotherapist’ earlier this month, however it remains to be seen if that post has been filled yet.

One position Darren Moore has filled, however, is the one of goalkeeper coach, with Adriano Basso being brought in by the Owls boss ahead of their 2021/22 campaign, with Nicky Weaver returning to his position within the youth setup at the club.

Wednesday start their preseason in Wales today having headed out to their camp in Newport over the weekend – they are thought to have taken a mix of senior players and youth players, and will face Celtic in their first preseason friendly on July 7th.
