14 brilliant pictures of Sheffield Wednesday fans at a rocking sold-out Hillsborough against Plymouth Argyle

It was the loudest rendition of ‘Hi Ho Silver Lining’ Hillsborough has seen all season.

And in front of what was the highest League One attendance of the entire season, Sheffield Wednesday beat Plymouth Argyle to go top of a division they’ve remained unbeaten in for four months.

A 33,000-strong crowd more than played its part – as did the hardy travelling Argyle supporters.

“There’s no better atmosphere when the place is rocking,” Liam Palmer said after the Owls claimed top spot. “And everyone is pulling together in the same direction – from the fans, to the coaching staff and the players. I’m delighted for everybody.”

Boss Darren Moore added: “I’m pleased for the fans, but it’s another three points and we have to keep on working. We have to continue getting better, because there are tougher hurdles ahead.

“I asked for the fans to be loud because it drives the players on. It gives them that extra bit of energy, you can run that extra yard or go into that challenge. It keeps your concentration - and credit to them for doing that.”

Just because.. here are a few snaps of the Wednesday crowd. Spot anyone you know?
