And when asked if Antonio will be back for Monday night's clash at the London Stadium, Moyes admitted: “I hope so. I do not think it is too bad. I will have to wait and see.

"Obviously he is a concern if he did not play tonight. We will see how he gets on in the next few days.”

The Hammers also have fitness concerns over Angelo Ogbonna and Andriy Yarmolenko, who went off with injuries against the Red Devils. Issa Diop, who came off the bench to replace Ogbonna, was also taken off at half-time as a precaution after clashing heads with Anthony Martial in the first half - becoming the first concussion substitute in English football history.

“Ogbonna had an ankle injury and Yarmolenko looks like he has opened up his knee ligaments a little bit, so we will need to see how they are," Moyes added.

"Hopefully they will not be too bad. We have seen a little rise in injuries in the last few weeks.

“Angelo would be a miss because he has played very well for us. He has been a player who has been in the team every game really and is really important to us.”
