Barnsley v Blades LIVE

and the Blades are making the short trip to Oakwell this afternoon for their final friendly of pre-season

and it’s a winning start for the Blades as goals from Berge and Jebbison seal a 2-1 victory over Casa Pia - that hasn’t dampened the enthusiasm of the stadium announcer, who’s belting out songs for the home side through his microphone, and you’d imagine United and their coaching staff will be pleased with that run out. They give their travelling support a well-earned round of applause as Jack O’Connell is singled out for particular attention with a rendition of his song

after being sent clear, he looks to pick his spot on his left foot - and gets it horribly wrong, tumbling as he shoots and the ball drifts harmlessly wide

Osula gets in behind

after being fed by Fleck but his shot is deflected behind for a corner, Norwood wanders over to take it from the Blades left ... but it’s overhit and goes out at the back post

and it’s Jebbison who gets it with a lovely finish on his left foot - it was a poor kick out from the home goalkeeper but Jebbison intercepted, took his time and composed himself before shifting it onto his left foot and smashing home into the bottom corner - the strike of a confident young man, that

Booking for Kyron Gordon

as he takes down the dangerous Godwin as he looks to race clear - he was sent through with a nice looking through-ball and Gordon was always struggling to catch up with him, he makes a last-ditch attempt to play the ball but only gets the man - there was cover from a teammate which may have saved him from a harsher punishment although with it being a friendly it would have been harsh for him to see red there

Good chance for Osula

to put the Blades ahead as Basham’s header clears the defenders, the youngster’s first touch is good and he looks to smash it home but it’s straight at the goalkeeper who parries it away

We’re back underway

with NINE changes at the break - second half side

Davies, Broadbent, Basham, Gordon, Gomis, Stevens, Norwood, Fleck, Coulibaly, Jebbison, Osula
