St Patrick's Day: Meet the 12 Irishmen to have played for Sheffield United

The Irish have produced many quality players who have made the short hop across from the Emerald Isle to excel in the English game – including at Sheffield United.

So, with it being St Patrick’s Day we thought it was the perfect opportunity to take a look at some of the Irishmen who have starred for United.

Kelly won 34 caps for the Republic of Ireland. He was a member of Eire's 1994 and 2002 World Cup squads, but was the team's second-choice goalkeeper on both occasions and didn't play a game in either tournament.
