Wales start their Euro 2020 campaign against Switzerland in Baku on June 12 before playing Turkey in the Azerbaijani capital four days later. They complete their Group A fixtures against Italy in Rome on June 20.

Norrington-Davies has made four appearances for his country, who reached the semi-finals of Euro 2016 in France five years ago.

The left-sided defender has never made a senior appearance in red and white, but has gained experience on loan at clubs including Rochdale, then in League One, and Barrow.

Prior to his departure, Chris Wilder viewed him as Jack O’Connell’s long-term successor.
