The goalkeeper moved to Carla Ward’s side until the end of the season after agreeing a new contract with her parent club.

Ramsey, aged 19, could make her United debut when Ward’s squad face Birmingham City in the FA Cup at the Proact Stadium on Sunday (kick-off 1pm).

“I’m looking forward to working with the coaches and players at Sheffield United,” Ramsey said. “They are a great club.”

United consolidated their grip on second place in the FA Women’s Championship when they thrashed Coventry United last weekend.

"I'm really excited to get the move sorted. I've only heard positive things about the club and they've been having a really successful season so far so I'm looking forward to getting some game time to challenge myself and to work with this team for the rest of the season,” Ramsey added.
