Sheffield United hero Sydie Peck holds hands up for Blackburn Rovers goal but happy with reaction
It was a rollercoaster night for Sheffield United midfielder Sydie Peck at Ewood Park
Sydie Peck admitted he ‘should have done better’ to prevent Blackburn Rovers taking the lead against Sheffield United but the midfielder certainly made up for his error.

Peck was pickpocketed on the edge of the box, leading to Kristi Montgomery firing in from long range to open the scoring at Ewood Park.
Rather than dwell on the midtake, it only seemed to spark Peck into action and after creating the opportunity for Tom Cannon to equalise, the England Under 21 international scored a fabulous goal just before the break to complete the turnaround and, in the end, give United all three points.
“Yes, I feel good”, Peck told BBC Radio Sheffield. “I feel good that I've contributed and helped the team out to a win, which was the main task tonight, is to come away with three points. We've done that.I thought the boys were good.
“Yes, we've had to show what we're about at times, digging in deep and grinding that result. We're not always going to play the way we want to. But like I said, grinding that result and coming away with three points, which is the main thing, and we've done that tonight.”
On the Blackburn goal, Peck added: “Yes, it's a mistake. The ball's been played in to me. Should have done better. He scored, but I'd like to say that I reacted well. Assisted, Tom Cannon, great finish.
“And then a decent finish by myself. And yes, I thought the boys, we dug in deep and grafted that result and it went pretty, but we got the job done and that's all that matters.”
