Sheffield United left it late to claim a huge three points from a frantic game on the south coast against struggling Portsmouth. The home side saw a number of chances go begging in the first half and were then made to pay when Andre Brooks touched home at the back post late on.
United earlier hit the post through Gus Hamer but Pompey will rue their own big moments that went amiss before Brooks came up with the decisive touch to get United back to winning ways at the first attempt after defeat on Monday to Boro.
Here’s how we rated the Blades at Fratton Park

5. Tyler Bindon 7
One of the better performers for me on the day against the physical figure of Bishop but he was marshalled well by the Forest loanee, who almost came up with a big moment at the other end when he flicked on a corner but Schmid in the home goal made a pretty comfortable save. Helped keep a big clean sheet too | UGC Photo: UGC

6. Harrison Burrows 5
Also struggled hugely against a lively winger in the shape of Segecic who looked to get at Burrows every opportunity he got and with the ball he couldn't do a great deal either as he was closed down almost every time he tried to find Hamer down the left. Later punished for a foul throw at Championship level, which sort of summed up the level of quality in this game | UGC Photo: UGC

7. Andre Brooks 7
One of United's leading lights of late but he couldn't replicate that influence here in a quiet display down the right - at least before he popped up with a decisive moment right at the death to give United three points. He stretched every fibre of his body to poke home at the back post after a nice move out on the left and celebrated with a somersault. Earlier he'd been snuffed out time and time again by Ogilvie but to his credit he kept going and going and got his rewards with a huge moment for the Blades | UGC Photo: UGC

8. Djibril Soumare 5
With Arblaster and Peck both on the bench the Senegalese was handed a chance to come in from the cold and stake a claim to play a part going forward, but it wasn't one he could take as the game largely passed him by in the middle of the park. To be fair he was far from alone in that respect in a breathless game of football with not much technical quality but United at least a little bit more composed in the second half when he made way for Peck | UGC Photo: UGC
