Goals from Oli McBurnie and Sander Berge sealed the Blades’ first away victory of the season and sent them back to the summit of the early Championship standings.
But a crucial first-half save from Wes Foderingham was also key, as United ran out deserved winners at the MKM Stadium. The only negative was an early injury to key defender Max Lowe.
Here’s how we rated Paul Heckingbottom’s men…

A remarkable display of first-half goalkeeping saw him somehow keep the score at 1-0 to United despite the in-form Estupinan having the freedom of East Yorkshire to pick his spot. Foderingham blocked his first effort with his body and then somehow saved the follow-up when it looked easier to score. Photo: David Klein

Had a good running battle with Elder all afternoon after a typically full-throttle effort down the right. Had penalty appeals waved away in the first half as he looked to get on the end of Norrington-Davies' cross Photo: Nigel Roddis

Forced into an early switch to the left when Lowe went off with an injury but it didn't limit him going forward. Had Hull fans baying for his dismissal when he caught Figueiredo with a high foot and the defender's theatrics earned the Bosnian a yellow card. Rumour has it he's still rolling around now Photo: Simon Bellis

Defensively excellent, hardly giving Estupinan a kick - aside from his first-half gift of a chance - and even had the desire, and legs, to join in an attack late on with United 2-0 ahead. Photo: Tim Goode
