Sheffield remains red and white this evening after Sheffield United maintained their recent unbeaten record in Steel City derbies by beating Wednesday 1-0 at Bramall Lane. It wasn’t pretty at times as the two sides faced each other for the first time in five years but Tyrese Campbell’s second-half finish proved the difference.
The result also sent the Blades joint top of the Championship table going into the international break as they took another little step towards getting back into the Premier League next season. Here’s how we rated United’s players on the afternoon...

9. Callum O'Hare 7
Started in the No.10 role with Hamer out wide and kept his head superbly to feed Campbell for his goal when it would have been tempting to have a go himself against a well of defenders. Performed his defensive duties well too, harrying back when needed | Getty Images

10. Gus Hamer 7
Couldn't quite get to grips with the game in the first half but showed his class early in the second when he sent Bannan the wrong way and then fed O'Hare for the Blades' opening goal. Like O'Hare, didn't shirk his defensive duties either and the big smile on his face as he won a late free-kick to relieve the pressure said it all Photo: Andrew Yates

11. Tyrese Campbell 8
A game of two halves for the striker as he enjoyed just four touches in the first 45 minutes before scoring the decisive goal of the game with his seventh, after his fifth and sixth had also gone close before his shot was blocked. Losing both Moore and Brewster was a blow for the Blades but how this man stepped up, with his third goal in four games. Who needs a lot of touches, anyway? | Getty Images

12. Femi Seriki 7
Came on for Gilchrist at half-time and gave United some real attacking impetus down the right flank as he streamed forward at will, defending superbly as well later on when Musaba streaked away down the right and looked to get a shot away at Beadle's goal | Sportimage
