Sheffield remains red and white this evening after Sheffield United maintained their recent unbeaten record in Steel City derbies by beating Wednesday 1-0 at Bramall Lane. It wasn’t pretty at times as the two sides faced each other for the first time in five years but Tyrese Campbell’s second-half finish proved the difference.
The result also sent the Blades joint top of the Championship table going into the international break as they took another little step towards getting back into the Premier League next season. Here’s how we rated United’s players on the afternoon...

5. Harrison Burrows 6.5
Wiped out by Bannan in the first half as a game already on a knife-edge threatened to boil over. Saw plenty of play down the left in the first half but often lacked the options to advance the ball and ended up turning back to Ahmedhodzic. 6. Oliver Arblaster 6
Looked fired up as he captained his boyhood club in his first taste of the derby but a couple of early whacks limited his mobility somewhat and the second forced him into some lengthy treatment, before he made way at the break | Sportimage

7. Vini Souza 7.5
Reappeared for the second half wearing the captain's armband after Arblaster's withdrawal and helped United establish the control in the midfield that helped them get a result. Survived a late challenge from Charles which earned the Owls man a yellow card and bodied a couple of Owls players throughout the game like they were kids in the playground | Sportimage

8. Jesurun Rak-Sakyi 6
Given no time whatsoever to get on the ball and run at the Owls defence and so spent a lot of the first half with his back to the Wednesday goal, which is exactly where they'd have wanted him to be. It was a quieter display than he'd have hoped when his head hit the pillow last night before he made way for McCallum | Sportimage
