Goals from James McAtee, Ciaran Clark and Tommy Doyle secured victory for United, with Coventry seeing Viktor Gyokeres’ penalty saved by Wes Foderingham.
The City striker then pulled one back for his side and John Egan saw red after picking up his second yellow card, but the Blades recorded their third victory since the Championship season resumed to further consolidate their promotion push.
Here’s how we rated the Blades’ players...

5. John Egan 5
Picked up two bookings for two fouls on the lively Gyokeres and was subsequently sent down the tunnel, ruling him out of the game at Blackpool later this week. Was the second a foul? Did he have to make it, with his side 3-1 up at the time? It's all immaterial now but questions he will no doubt be asking himself Photo: Lexy IIsley

6. Ciaran Clark 8
Had to be close to his best to keep the lively Gyokeres quiet and in the first half was just that, using every ounce of his experience to nick the ball away at the last second or manoeuvre his body to snuff out the danger. Got the goal his display deserved when he rose highest to nod home Norwood's excellent free-kick. Photo: Andrew Yates

7. Max Lowe 7
Back in the side for his first appearance since Hull away, with Enda Stevens dropping to the bench, Lowe showed some understandable signs of ring-rust but also moments of quality, such as his first-time cross for Doyle to put the Blades 3-0 ahead moments after coming on. Photo: Gary Oakley

8. Ollie Norwood 8
Excellent delivery almost led to another set-piece goal for the Blades this season but Sharp's header hit the bar rather than the back of the net. But he got it eventually when a sublime free-kick found the head of Clark, who nodded home with ease. What a player Photo: Andrew Yates
