Sheffield United ended their long wait for a home league win with a battling victory over Watford at Bramall Lane this afternoon. The Blades had not won here in league action since they beat Brentford back in December but took the points thanks to Callum O’Hare’s second-minute winner.
It could have been more comfortable for the Blades as Kieffer Moore missed a penalty soon after after Oliver Arblaster was fouled in the box, while away goalkeeper Daniel Bachmann was by far the most troubled of the two on the field. It was at times a fiery clash that fittingly ended with a post-match melee that saw players from both sides pulled apart.
Here’s how we rated United’s players as they signed off for the international break in style...

9. Callum O'Hare 8
Buzzed about with his usual intensity from the off and gave United a dream start in the second minute with a slightly bizarre goal that saw him go down under a defender's challenge but manage to flick the ball home on his way down, via a deflection off the goalkeeper. Seemed furious as he made his way off at half-time after a penalty shout was turned down on the stroke of the break when he saw his foot tugged by Sissoko, but the appeal was waved away. 10. Gus Hamer 7.5
Had a couple of early bright moments to test Bachmann and may have wished he held on to the ball for the penalty rather than act as a decoy and then give it up for Moore. Never shy to shoot on sight and saw a couple on target and some wildly off it, before he was booked late on for the only blot on an otherwise typically top display | Sportimage

11. Kieffer Moore 5
Played a role in United winning the early penalty, as his good vision and pass inside sent Arblaster free, but then couldn't make it count as he stuttered his run up and telegraphed his effort a little before Bachmann saved down to his left. Could have made amends in the second half when he turned Sierralta nicely and should have squared to an open Hamer, but he elected to shoot himself and saw the effort blocked | Sportimage

12. Subs: Sam McCallum 6
Came on for Rak-Sakyi and a lovely ball down the line sent Moore free but the striker couldn't make the most of the chance | Sportimage
