Sheffield United passed another major test of character tonight as they continued their good recent run of form at Hull City with a 2-0 victory. Goals in either half from Gus Hamer and sub Sam McCallum sealed victory for the Blades, who go up to third ahead of the weekend’s games.
Hull rallied in the second half slightly and hit the bar through Marvin Melhem while goalkeeper Michael Cooper made a smart save from a mishit cross by Mohamed Belloumi but it was a deserved three points for Chris Wilder’s men. Here’s how we rated them at the MKM Stadium...

5. Harrison Burrows 7
Hardly troubled defensively and got forward with his usual relish on the overlap, with one hard and low cross booted clear by the Hull defence with Moore looking to pounce | Sportimage

Has been United's leading light so far this season but wasn't at his usual levels in the first half, caught out of position a couple of times and needing some treatment from the medical staff when he went down in front of the visiting Blades fans. But he was fine to continue and did his usual job of breaking up play, throwing up his arms in frustration when one pass didn't come off when he'd actually taken the wrong option Photo: Nathan Stirk

7. Oliver Arblaster 7
Probably one of his quieter evenings but still showed real quality on the ball in flashes and flew into tackles with his usual commitment - even more impressively because he'd picked up an early yellow trying to stop a Hull counter attack. A display of real maturity in midfield for the youngster | Sportimage

8. Jesurun Rak-Sakyi 7
Kept his place on the right wing despite Brooks being available again after concussion and had some bright moments, almost scoring an audacious backheeled attempt with his back to goal before it took a deflection to stop it on its way. Struggled to get in the game in the second half as Hull stepped it up, although he should have been played in by Moore instead of him electing to shoot from 45 yards. Made way just after the hour for Brooks | Sportimage
