The Premier League free agents available to Sheffield United this summer as retained lists issued
Premier League clubs have now issued their retained lists following the conclusion of the 2025/26 season
With only a few days to go until the start of the summer transfer window, Sheffield United’s supporters will be hoping to see the club hit the ground running.
Blades boss Chris Wilder is determined to add some-much needed experience to his squad this summer after an underwhelming 13th-placed finish in the Championship in 2025/26. He is expected to push for players that can come in and make an immediate impact.
However, due to tightening financial restrictions, the free agent market is expected to be an avenue United will explore this summer in a bid to strengthen their squad. Frees, loans and low-cost deals are expected to be central to Wilder’s plans this summer.
United have had success via the free agent market at various stages across Wilder’s stints at Bramall Lane, and it is not unrealistic to suggest he could get more joy from that avenue this summer.
EFL clubs, over the last few weeks, have been in the process of releasing their end-of-season retained lists, confirming which players will be available on free transfers this summer, and now all 20 Premier League clubs have issued their retained lists.
Here are the players released by Premier League clubs that will become free agents when their contracts expire on June 30...
