Key Events

  • Palace went ahead after just over a minute through Benteke

to Palace as Eze robs Basham on the halfway line and cuts inside to go himself this time, he looks to go across Ramsdale and find the bottom corner but it goes the other side of the post

Here’s that Ramsdale stop

Superb from Ramsdale

as he keeps out Benteke’s header from about six yards out with a strong left hand, he shouldn’t really have had a chance of saving it but he does brilliantly to do so and keeps it at 0-1

takes a wicked deflection off Cahill and it’s a Blades corner on the left, which comes to nothing

to the danger as Zaha looks to get in behind, he pokes the ball behind for a Palace corner which Ramsdale claims easily enough after it was played short

as he catches Fleck in his follow-through after winning the ball in a challenge, it looks a painful one for Scot and Ward sees yellow

and Burke gets his head on it but it goes well, well wide of Palace’s goal

well as Benteke, I think it was, deflects a well-struck shot from range goalwards - but Ramsdale holds on gratefully

for what at first glance looked a great challenge on Eze - replays back that up, too, and for the life of me I cannot understand why that is a foul

McGoldrick gets his head

on a driven cross from his old Irish teammate Enda Stevens, but he can’t direct it goalwards under pressure from Cahill and Berge can’t get onto it before it rolls out for a goal kick
