It was a summer of real change at Bramall Lane following last season’s brutal experience in the Premier League, with Sheffield United waving goodbye to dozens of players in a bid to make an instant return to the top flight. Amongst those to depart were club legends and relatively unknown names; loanees who made a mark and others who barely registered with Blades.

15. Levis Pitan
United sanctioned the defender’s departure to Poland on the eve of the new season, with the centre-half - who helped United to the PDL National title last season – making the switch to top-flight club Piast Gliwice until 2027. Pitan’s new side are 10th in the Ekstraklasa table | Sportimage
