Hull v Blades LIVE

SA on United’s first goal

I think with his [Matt Ingram’s] quality, he should save that. Sometimes games give you opportunities at good time and bad times. You can be 3-0 down and score and it doesn’t mean much. The first chance came when we were still in the game and the second was good build-up with a great pass and everything was good, just a little bit of a hard touch.

Shota Arveladze’s reaction

I think it was a good game if you look in general. A really tough team to play against and we missed both good chances, then you know how it’s going to be in the second half again. The game was still even. Sometimes they took a longer ball but we didn’t create too much in the second half, maybe some free-kicks and corners. I don’t think they had really clear chances and then they scored at the right time again.

Hamstring. He’ll be back, he’ll be strong and he can be pleased with how he’s started the season, which makes it tougher for us. But he’ll be back as soon as he can.

PH on what happened with Kyron Gordon

When the lads were warming up, there were allegations of racist abuse which were raised and reported. We’ve been in with the officials now and they’ll follow the process. Matt was great and showed empathy for Kyron. Talking about young players and there’s no place for it, in football in general. It’s not nice. We’ll follow the process, we went through the proper channels. By all accounts it wasn’t hidden.

He’s been brilliant. Everyone else has been guessing and talking about the situation. He’s turned up and put the hard work in and he’s a credit to himself. That’s why you want those characters about and I’m pleased for them.

He had moments first half, and we want him to shoot because it can go anywhere. He’ll get half a yard and someone else may get the opportunity. Big moments. We had to battle and work hard, we pressed when they played a negative pass and forced them back but there were big moments of quality when we could and should have got more goals too. You’ll always take a 2-0 away win.

His goals are helping us win games and his performances are helping that too. Him and Iliman are performing well, Iliman was outstanding today.

you say that;’s what they get paid to do but when you make a save as good as that, with not alot else to do, he deserves credit.

and it’s job done for the Blades as they go back top of the table with a professional performance, their first away win of the season and you get the sense something special is building here ... stay tuned for a full report, ratings and reaction from both camps. And UTB!
