James McAtee was the hero at Carrow Road with a close-range finish to seal a 1-0 victory and send United six points clear of Boro and Luton Town.
Here’s how we rated United’s players in the game ...
9. Sander Berge 7
Heavily involved on the ball from early on and had the Blades' best early chance when Doyle's corner picked him out in acres of space in the box, but his header dropped wide of the far post - much to McBurnie's disbelief in particular. Booked early in the second half after having his pocket picket by Sargent and then bringing him down. Made way for Norwood in the 69th minute Photo: Simon Bellis
10. James McAtee 7.5
Pounced with a real poacher's effort to put the Blades ahead, showing good anticipation and then bravery to risk a clattering from the 'keeper and poke home despite Norwich's protests. Was having a rather up and down time of it before then, but showed his commitment to the cause with a long, late run to track his man to the touchline when others may have given it up. Later made way for Fleck Photo: Simon Bellis
11. Iliman Ndiaye 7.5
Just Ndiaye doing Ndiaye things. His movement, his strength, his skill and his maturity are all worth paying to watch. Just a remarkable young footballer who we are running out of superlatives for. Loves the running battle too which many players of his ilk would shy away from and get intimidated by. Photo: Simon Bellis
12. Oli McBurnie 6.5
A frustrating afternoon for the Blades' No.9, who got little change out of either the Norwich defence or referee Darren Bond as he complained over what he felt was unfair treatment. Work rate didn't drop before he made way just before 70 minutes, to be replaced by Sharp Photo: Nick Potts
