Sheffield United couldn’t build on their midweek victory over play-off rivals Middlesbrough this afternoon when they were battered 4-1 by Coventry City.

Here’s how the game unfolded, with reaction from Paul Heckingbottom on an afternoon to forget for the Blades.

Coventry v Blades LIVE

inside the Cov box as Moore is penalised for a pass back - the Coventry players line up on the goalline and one of them, impossible to see who, blocks well as Hourihane’s shot heads for the far corner

to tip Gyokeres’ shot wide, he’d turned Egan inside and looked to find the far corner with a nice curling effort but Foderingham was across and tipped it wide at full stretch- good save

Game’s just gone a little

scrappy in the last few minutes, with misplaced passes coming into it more and more - United will hope to try and reclaim a bit of control in the last 15 minutes or so of this first half

from the left after the ball was touched back into his path, he strikes it cleanly but it flashes wide

and it’s a real basic one to concede - a long ball forward, Robinson misses his header and Gyokeres finishes past Foderingham for 1-1

and it’s Berge who gets it with a top quality header from Hourihane’s cross - it twice flashed across the face of goal but Hourihane’s bit of quality picked out the big man in the middle and he found the top corner with a good planted header for 1-0!

Robinson gets across

to tidy up as Gyokeres looks to have been played through on goal

Great defending from Clarke-Salter

prevents a tap in for Gibbs-White after a good run and cross from Sharp - the Wolves loanee was ready to tap in but the Coventry man was on hand to poke it behind and the corner comes to nothing

Good crossing chance

for Norrington-Davies as Berge and Hourihane work it wide, but he balloons it over the bar

Godden goes through

and his weak shot is saved by Foderingham, but he was well offside anyway and the flag eventually goes up
