Sheffield United could not bounce back from their midweek hammering at West Bromwich Albion when they lost 2-1 to Huddersfield Town at Bramall Lane this afternoon.

United thought they had sealed a point when Billy Sharp equalised in injury time, before Levi Colwill tapped home from close range shortly after to continue Slavisa Jokanovic’s wait for a league win as Blades boss.

Sheffield United v Huddersfield LIVE

Billy Sharp come on to replace Rhian Brewster with about 25 minutes or so of normal time remaining

as Fleck finds McBurnie in behind, he looks to play in Brewster but it’s blocked away and RND’s shot is blocked by a possible hand, United then have about four shots in succession blocked and the crowd are well behind them now

Nervy moment for Foderingham

as he lets a cross bounce across his goalmouth before bundling over Koroma, the ref doesn’t give a foul - which looked generous from where I am sat - and the league debutant breathes a big sigh of relief, you’d imagine

to get across and nick the ball from Koroma as he looked to power away from Basham, United then broke through Berge who fed Norrington-Davies and the youngster’s cross was too high for McBurnie in the middle

Blades start on the front foot again

as Norwood sees a shot deflected wide after good work from Egan and Baldock, a cross is headed behind for a corner and the routine from it, looking for Norwood on the edge of the box, is cleared away - Baldock was close to getting on a ball over the top just now and United are keeping the pressure on Town

We’re back underway

with no changes made at the break from either side - can United make that breakthrough in this half?

and it’s goalless at the Lane but the Blades have been a lot better than they were in midweek - they’ve been on top in this one too but haven’t yet found a way past Nicholls, with McBurnie’s overhead kick the closest they’ve come. Will that elusive first goal come in the second half?

Close from McBurnie

as he tries an acrobatic overhead kick from Egan’s header and almost finds the bottom corner, but Nicholls is across to push it to safety - what a way that would have been to get United off the mark in league games this season

as Brewster breaks down the left before a challenge from Sarr stops him in his tracks, United recycle it before O’Brien hacks it clear
