The footage has been released by South Yorkshire Police after drug addict Kirsty Moxon targeted a vulnerable 89-year-old woman after striking up a conversation with her at a bus stop on Roughwood Road, in the Wingfield area of Rotherham, at 1.30pm on November 17 last year.
Moxon is seen on the video grabbing the pensioner’s handbag strap, which was wrapped around her walking frame, and dragging her face down into the road.

When Moxon was tracked down just over an hour after the robbery she had just injected herself with drugs.
She tested positive for heroin and crack cocaine after she was arrested.
Joy Merriam, who represented Moxon at court, said that on the day of the robbery Moxon’s dealer burned her on the legs and told her she would be forced to work as a prostitute unless she repaid a debt.

PC Jack Mitchell, of South Yorkshire Police, said: “This was a particularly shocking incident which saw a vulnerable woman targeted and attacked. Although we were very quickly able to apprehend Moxon, the attack left the woman requiring a prolonged period of recovery, taking away her independence.”
Cash totalling £300 was stolen as well as the pensioner’s keys and bank cards.
PC Mitchell added: “Although upsetting, the robbery provoked a tremendous response from the local community who set up a fundraiser to reimburse the woman for the money Moxon had stolen. I want to wholeheartedly thank everyone involved in this, for their positive response and support they have provided to both us and the victim.
