Lewis Williams, 20, was shot in his neck and face on Wath Road, Mexborough, on Monday, January 11.
Medics battled to revive him but he could not be saved and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two teenage boys accused of murder are due at Sheffield Crown Court today, after appearing before Doncaster magistrates over the fatal shooting last week.
