Sheffield man and teenager arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following shootings on city estate

Police arrested a 27-year-old man from Sheffield on suspicion of attempted murder last night (January 15), alongside a 17-year-old boy who was also detained on suspicion of assisting an offender, after gun attacks on the Manor estate last week.
Both the 27-year-old and the 17-year-old remain in custody at this time.

Hide AdIt comes after it is reported that shots were fired at three people who were stood outside a property on Castledale Croft on the Manor estate at around 8pm on January 6.
A 42-year-old woman, a 23-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman, were all injured in the attack.
The 23-year-old man is believed to have fled on foot to nearby Prince of Wales Road and a couple of minutes later, police received reports of a second shotgun discharge at this location.
The man, who suffered shotgun injuries to his arms and hand, is believed to have been targeted.

Hide AdTwo of the victims – the 23-year-old man and the 42-year-old woman - were taken to hospital to receive treatment, alongside the 28-year-old woman who suffered minor injuries which did not require medical treatment according to police.
Earlier this week, Bradley Jenkins, 27, of Waverley View, and Kai Smith, 18, of Villiers Close, were both charged with attempted murder.
Jenkins and Smith have since been remanded in to custody.Police are continuing to investigate the incidents and urge anyone with information, dash cam or CCTV footage to call 101, quoting incident number 790 of 6 January.
