I spotted this oversized TOG24 fleece hoody reduced from £50 and it’s exactly what I want to wear this autumn and winter.
There’s something about this time of year that makes me want to live in oversized hoodies, cosy jumpers and anything I can throw on without giving my outfit too much thought. So when I spotted the TOG24 Acer Womens Oversized Supersoft Knitlook Fleece Hoody in this gorgeous Oxford Blue Marl, I immediately knew it was going on my autumn wardrobe list.
It’s currently £25, reduced from £50, making it half price. I know I’ll get plenty of wear out of something like this because it’s the sort of layer I can reach for on the school run, when I’m working from home or just heading out for a coffee on a chilly weekend.
I particularly like the oversized shape because I don’t want a fleece that feels too fitted. I’d much rather have something I can throw over a T-shirt now and a thicker long-sleeved top when temperatures really start to drop. The knit look finish also makes it feel a little more like a cosy jumper than a traditional sporty fleece.
The Oxford Blue Marl is probably what caught my eye most. I’m usually drawn to neutral colours when I’m buying winter layers, but this muted blue feels like an easy way to add a bit of colour without being difficult to style.
I’d wear it with leggings and trainers for the school run, then switch to jeans and chunky boots when I want it to look a little less casual. I can also see myself wearing it with wide-leg jeans and a simple white T-shirt underneath, with the hood left loose for that relaxed autumn look.
I think it makes much more sense to me than spending a lot on another jumper that I’ll probably only wear occasionally. This is exactly the kind of practical winter layer I know I’ll reach for again and again. The TOG24 Acer is currently available for £25 was £50, although the sale price and sizes can change.
