The 2023 Lamborghini Huracán STO can reach 202mph and sprint from 0–60mph in 2.9 seconds, and one competition winner will receive the car plus £10,000 or a £300,000 alternative.

There aren't many things you can buy for 5p these days. It won't get you a carrier bag in most shops, never mind something capable of reaching 202mph.

But entries have opened for a competition offering one winner an eye-catching Lamborghini, plus £10,000 in cash to help them enjoy it.

The car in question is a 2023 Lamborghini Huracán STO, a track-inspired supercar with a 5.2-litre engine, 631bhp and a claimed 0–60mph time of just 2.9 seconds.

It is finished in bright orange with contrasting green STO graphics, so disappearing into the office car park shouldn't be a concern. The enormous adjustable rear wing, roof-mounted air scoop and extensive carbon-fibre bodywork make it look every inch the road-going racing car.

This particular example has covered just 5,560 miles and is being offered by Elite Competitions alongside £10,000 in cash. Alternatively, the winner can choose a £300,000 cash prize instead of taking the Lamborghini.

The STO is already among the most dramatic versions of the Huracán, but the colour combination makes this example particularly difficult to ignore.

More than 75 per cent of its body panels are made from carbon fibre. The long list of lightweight components includes the front splitter, side skirts, rear diffuser, mirror housings and a combined bonnet and front-wing assembly.

Its rear wing can be adjusted manually through three positions, allowing its aerodynamic balance to be altered. Carbon-ceramic brakes sit behind 20-inch forged wheels, while a thinner windscreen and fixed rear windows help reduce weight further.

The race-inspired treatment continues inside, where the winner will find carbon-fibre sports seats, door panels, floor mats and centre-console trim.

Alcantara covers much of the cabin, including the dashboard, steering wheel and headlining. There are also four-point seatbelts, a titanium rear roll bar and STO-specific displays and graphics.

It isn't completely stripped of creature comforts, however. The Lamborghini has dual-zone climate control, keyless entry, navigation, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth and DAB radio.

Front and rear parking sensors and a rear-view camera should make low-speed manoeuvring slightly less nerve-racking. That might be useful when the bodywork is mostly carbon fibre.

The car also has Lamborghini Connected Telemetry, including built-in track-performance recording, two cameras and displays for lap data and G-force information.

Entries are advertised at 5p each, with discounted bundles available through the competition website.

At the time of writing, 300 entries cost £13.50 after a 10 per cent saving. A bundle of more than 1,500 entries costs £56.25 with 25 per cent off, while more than 3,000 entries cost £90 following a 40 per cent reduction.

There will be a maximum of 19,999,999 entries in total, although each individual player is restricted to no more than 30,000 tickets.

The competition is a guaranteed draw, which means the advertised prize will be awarded regardless of how many entries are sold. One winner will receive either the Lamborghini and £10,000 or the £300,000 alternative.

The live draw is scheduled to take place at 9pm on Tuesday, September 29, with the result broadcast through Elite Competitions' Facebook and YouTube channels.

A free entry method is also available through the terms and conditions. Entrants must be aged 18 or over.

As with any paid competition, buying more tickets improves the number of entries you hold but doesn't guarantee a win, so it is sensible to set a firm spending limit.

Anyone tempted by the possibility of putting a 631bhp Lamborghini on the driveway can see the car, explore the entry options and read the full competition rules here.

☀️ Summer may be fading, but this deal is scorching. The TOG24 Jacinda Women’s Supersoft Jersey Playsuit has plummeted from £50 to just £8, saving shoppers £42 in a huge 84% reduction.

💗 Made mainly from soft viscose and cotton, the bright pink playsuit features an elasticated drawstring waist, back-button fastening and two handy hip pockets. It’s an easy throw-on outfit for holidays, warm weekends or getting next summer’s wardrobe sorted ludicrously early.

⚠️ The catch? Only selected sizes are still available, and an £8 clearance price is unlikely to help them hang around. Check whether your size has survived here.
