Website woes solved as Sheffield's Percy Pud 10k sells out in 60 hours
A Sheffield running race has sold out in its second attempt to cope with huge demand for online entries after the website crashed two weeks ago.
The Percy Pud 10k has sold out ahead of time every year for the last decade.

But two weeks ago the Steel City Striders, who organise the race in Loxley every December, had to apologise for ‘the awful experience' hopeful entrants had when the website crashed and prevented people from signing up.
Mark Hope, Director of FR Systems who hosted the online race entry for the Striders, said interest in the event was 'much higher than we had ever anticipated'.
He added: "This year's event looks to be bigger and better than ever."
Entries reopened on Friday evening and this time there were no reported website problems.
Within just over an hour 1,600 eager runners had grabbed a place - including 600 entries in the first 20 minutes.

The 10k has grown in popularity since 600 people finished the first race in 1993. In recent years the entry has had to be limited to around 2,200.
This morning, Steel City Striders said on Twitter: "Percy Pud is now SOLD OUT. Thanks to everyone for supporting our race again."
The race starts at 9.30am on Sunday 4th December and promises a free Christmas pudding for every finisher.
