Sheffield weekend weather forecast - City set for sunny but cloudy spells and rollercoaster temperatures

As people across Sheffield prepare to head to the city’s beer gardens and dining terraces, this is what you can expect the weather to be like this weekend.

While there will be warm and bright spells, the temperature is expected to plummet to lows of 0°C at night; so layering is advised for those partaking in outdoor hospitality.

According to the Met Office, today is expected to be another fine and dry day with some patchy cloud but also plenty of sunshine and generally light winds.

Feeling warm with afternoon temperatures a little higher than on Thursday. Maximum temperature 17 °C.

Tonight’s forecast is cold with partly cloudy skies this evening.

A frost possible by dawn, though high ground likely to see low cloud and hill fog. Minimum temperature 0 °C.

It is expected to become cooler on Saturday with a cloudy start and cooler air spreading westward through the day, with some bright or sunny spells in the afternoon. It will then turn cold and frosty overnight. Maximum temperature 13 °C.

On Sunday, the weather is expected to be occasionally cloudy, especially near the hills, but still with some sunny spells. Cool by day, and cold with frost overnight.
