Sheffield weather: Summer's not over yet as forecasters predict sunny weekend ahead with highs of 23C

The Met Office is predicted Sheffield will enjoy a few more days of decent sunshine to round out the summer holidays - yes, including the weekend.
Forecasters say the Steel City could see highs of 24C before August is over so people can enjoy a blast of sun and warm weather, with only a chance of cloud on Sunday getting in the way.

Hide AdHowever, the hottest day of the week is set to be today (Wednesday, August 28), with the Met Office expecting highs of 24C.

Wednesday, August 28: Cloudy sunshine and a chance of rain in the afternoon, but also likely the warmest day of the week. Stiff breezes in the afternoon of up to 28mph. Clear sunshine at times in the morning before rising to highs of 24C by 3pm, followed by scattered showers from 4pm until 7pm. The Met Office even suggests a ‘maximum’ temperature of 26C could happen. Clear, warm night ahead.
Thursday, August 29: Unbroken sunshine in the morning and followed by sunny intervals much of the rest of the day, with highs of 20C by 3pm and little to no chance of rain. Breezy morning of up to 28mph. Cloud and wind to clear up by 5pm for a sunny summer’s evening.

Hide AdFriday, August 30: Another clear morning followed by sunny intervals approaching midday before clearing up by 5pm with little to no chance of rain all day. Highs of 20C in the late afternoon and gentle breeze.
Saturday, August 31: Finally, some unbroken sunshine all day, according to the Met Office. Highs of 20C by late afternoon and very little cloud, with stiffer breeze of 24mph around 4pm. Make the most of it.
Sunday, September 1: Clouded sunshine but higher temperatures, rising to 22C in the late afternoon and gentle breeze, little chacne of rain.
