Sheffield heatwave: City could see highs of 30 degrees this week as temperatures soar

The Met Office is forecasting temperatures could reach near 30 degrees celsius on Friday as a heatwave takes grip over the region.

Temperatures are expected to be highest in the afternoon with a peak of 28 degrees around 4pm.

Over the weekend temperatures are expected to fall, with a small chance of rain and thundery storms, with a high of 18 degrees expected on Saturday.
