Reach fired Wednesday in front after 18 seconds at Villa Park, sending a dipping 30 yard volley into the top left corner of the net.

Jordan Rhodes also scored for the second match run running to ensure Carlos Carvalhal’s men claimed back-to-back Championship wins.

Victory over fifth-placed Villa lifted the Owls up to 11th in the rankings and now just two points off the play-off positions.

Reach, who has notched-up three goals in the past three games, told The Star ahead of a two-week gap before the next match: “I would say I’m in the best form of my career.

“The manager has shown great faith in me this season. I have played every minute of every game.

“Any player who has that consistency of playing is always going to start finding his form.

“Goal-scoring is something I have always personally tried to improve and I think it is something where I can keep improving.

“But I’m delighted to have three in three, that Jordan [Rhodes] has two in two and we have back-to-back wins.

“Hopefully we can all kick on after the international break.”

The 24-year-old, a £5m recruit from Middlesbrough in August 2016, was switched from full-back to left wing against Derby County last month.

He said: “I’m going to get more chances in front of goal playing on the left wing. The credit is due to Morgan [Fox], who has come in at left-back and I think he has done excellent. Morgan and I work very well as a pair.

“At the minute, things are dropping for me and I’m finding the back of the net.

“I will not get ahead of myself. I’m pleased with how I have done in the last couple of games personally but I think as a team we have performed a lot better as well.

“Hopefully as the weeks go on we can keep on progressing and I can keep on scoring.”
