VIDEO: £33 to watch Sheffield Wednesday v Preston North End 'a little bit daft' says Simon Grayson

Preston North End boss Simon Grayson today took a swipe at Sheffield Wednesday's ticket pricing, describing it as 'a little bit daft'.

In all 24,843 were at the game, but not many traveled from Lancashire for the Championship clash, with Grayson putting that down to the cost of the £33 ticket.

Speaking after the 2-1 defeat to Wednesday, during which two of his players, Eoin Doyle and Jermaine Beckford were sent off for fighting with each other, said the price was embarrassing.

"(Doyle and Beckford) will be embarrassed," he said. "They should be embarrassed for their team mates, for the supporters who have paid £33 to come to the game which is probably a little bit embarrassing as well that such a game is so expensive."

He added:"£33 to watch a Championship game. We're not the biggest club in the land and I just think it's a little bit daft that they should be, sort of...it stopped a lot of our supporters coming today. Potentially we could have brought a 1000, 1500. I just think it's a bit daft and the bottom of the problems we've had today."
