A white Fiat pop was in collision with a wall in Manchester Road, Hollow Meadows, at 8am.
The driver was injured and airlifted to hospital by the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
Police officers sealed off the area while firefighters and paramedics dealt with the incident.
