Woodhouse Mill crash: Road closed after reports of serious car crash on Retford Road, Sheffield

Retford Road was reported to be closed on social media last night, and buses were still diverting because of the incident this morning. Pictures circulating online last night showed police cars on the scene.

Bus firm Stagecoach said this morning: “Service 52. Due to a police incident between Furnace Lane and Iron Bridge at Handsworth we will be operating via Beaver Hill Road in both directions.

“We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.” South Yorkshire Police have been approached for more details.
