Trams have finally returned to West Street in Sheffield – four days after they were suspended.

They were initially stopped after a breakdown on Monday, and then continued to be suspended while engineering works were carried out.

Trams terminated at the University and Cathedral stops to avoid West Street.

Stagecoach Supertram said in a statement: “Engineering work on West Street are now complete and a full service is now operating on all routes to the normal published timetables. Thank you for your patience and apologies for any disruption whilst these works took place.”
