First South Yorkshire said that services 41 and 51 would be diverted from 5pm each evening up to this Friday, December 4, and from midday this weekend, due to anti-social behaviour in the Arbourthorne area.
The operator tweeted this evening: “Due to anti-social behaviour by youths hanging around the building site on East Bank Road and then migrating onto Eastern Avenue, all services are withdrawn from the area during these times (this also applies to dead running vehicles).

"51 will divert OUTBOUND via Eastbank Rd, right onto Daresbury Rd, left to Newfield Green, left up Gleadless Rd (signed Gleadless), left before the social club onto Gleadless Bk, left at the end onto Hollinsend Rd past the New Inn & then normal route. The 51 inbound will operate in the reverse of the previous post.”
First tweeted shortly before 5pm today to say that due to vandalism having already taken place this evening, the diversion had been put in place early.
