Buses stop serving Sheffield suburb after 'numerous incidents'
A bus operator has said services will not be serving a Sheffield suburb because of ‘numerous incidents.’
Stagecoach Yorkshire said yesterday that services would not be serving Woodhouse village following a series of incidents.
Although the firm has not disclosed the nature of the problem, it is understood there have been numerous issues recently with attacks on vehicles by local youths.
Stagecoach tweeted: “Due to numerous incidents in Woodhouse, our 52, 7 and 25 services will not be serving Woodhouse village.
"52s will be turning at Woodhouse Station, 7s will be spinning at Coisley Hill Roundabout and 25s at Outwood Academy. Apologies for any inconvenience.”
It is not clear what the extent of the suspension of services is or whether the move is a temporary issue.
We have contacted both Stagecoach Yorkshire and South Yorkshire Police for more details about the incident and details of disruption and changes to bus services.
