Police seize vehicles after Peak District beauty spots “swarmed” with drivers parking dangerously
Police have seized more than 20 vehicles after Peak District beauty spots were “swarmed” with ‘dangerous and inconsiderate’ motorists.
Officers from the Buxton Safer Neighbourhood Team seized a number of vehicles amid a spate of problem parking at Peak District beauty spots over the bank holiday weekend.
A team spokesperson said: “Over the past weekend in the High Peak, 21 vehicles were seized due to dangerous and inconsiderate parking.
“Several of our beauty spots have been swarmed with poor, inconsiderate parking. This has caused danger not only to road users, but to emergency services, who would be unable to get through if needed.
