Motorists have been warned of long delays today as part of the M1 has been closed to treat a fuel spillage following a multi-vehicle collision.

Highways England said two lanes remain closed on the M1 northbound between Junction 29 and Junction 29a near Chesterfield to clear the spillage.

The incident has caused delays of 60 minutes and approximately nine miles of congestion.
