Heavy snowfall causes travel disruptions in South Yorkshire
Heavy snow has started to fall in some parts of South Yorkshire on Saturday afternoon (January 2) and caused delays on the roads.
Stagecoach Yorkshire tweeted that it will not be serving Merill Rd or Hanover St due to weather and road conditions at Thurnscoe in Barnsley.
Instead, it will be terminating and restarting at John Street.
Meanwhile in Doncaster, its 221 service will not serve Windhill Estate due to the adverse road and weather conditions.
It will be diverting to Doncaster Road in both directions.
The Met Office had earlier issued a yellow warning of snow and ice for South Yorkshire, and it is expected to last until 6pm.
Residents in Barnsley, Sheffield and Doncaster have reported heavy snowfall in their areas.
