Delays on the M1 in Sheffield and Rotherham due to broken-down vehicle

Motorists travelling on the M1 are experiencing delays this morning due to a broken-down vehicle, which has led to lane closures.

The broken down vehicle is on the M1 northbound between Junction 33 (Rotherham) and Junction 34 (Sheffield/Rotherham) this morning (Monday, May 9), near to the M1 southbound exit slip at junction J33.

Traffic is moving very slowly on the M1 northbound around Junction 33 (Rotherham).

A spokesperson for National Highways said traffic conditions are expected to resume by 8am.
