A Facebook post complaining about the new bumps has generated nearly 200 comments since being shared on Thursday, August 13, with many motorists complaining about getting stuck or scraping or banging their undercarriage.

"I’d just returned from a week in Cornwall, where some of the roads were a bit dodgy, and then I go to Asda and that happens,” he said.

"You can tell the speed bumps are too high because so many people are scraping their cars, and it made me a bit mad.”
