Sheffield residents have their say on whether the city's roads are getting better
Drivers remain critical, with one person saying: “I think they’re getting worse”
Opinions on Sheffield’s roads remain divisive despite two-thirds of reported potholes getting filled over summer.
New figures have shown that close to 2,000 potholes were filled between April and September, with 1,238 left as of the beginning of the month.

And while councillors admit more needs to be done, they’ve celebrated the success, claiming it shows “a clear trajectory” for improvement.
However, people in the city remain critical of the situation on the city’s roads.
“Not getting better, I think they’re getting worse,” one person said when questioned by The Star.
“[They’re] taking a long time for repairs and they’re no good for our taxes.”
Another echoed this point, adding: “I would say, in general, things haven’t improved - no.”
While people have said they have seen repair works take place, they claim issues have reappeared quickly.
Meanwhile, others suggest that roadworks have persisted for too long, leaving streets inaccessible for long periods.
One person added: “[I] wish they’d just get a job finished, they’ve been on the roads on Derek Dooley Way for months .
“Nearly finished, come on lads, one last push and you can remove the cones, temporary lights , barriers etc.”
