Drivers face disruption as Yorkshire Water tackles another leak on Sheffield’s inner ring road
“Could have done it while kids were on six week holidays but no, we will wait until it's busy again.”
Yorkshire Water is aiming to “quickly complete” a repair on Sheffield’s inner ring road - the third in the area this year.
Drinking water is bubbling out of the ground and washing across St Mary’s Road, near the junction with Mary Street, today.

It comes after commuters faced disruption due to a leak on St Mary's Road near the junction with Shoreham Street, and Shoreham Street itself, in April.
On The Star’s Facebook page Darren Wilkinson claimed the latest leak started up to four months ago.
Rob Hadi said it had been a “few months”.
Yorkshire Water said repairs are due to be carried out today.
Mr Hadi added: “Could have done it (the repairs) while kids were on six week holidays but no, we will wait until it's busy again.”

Andrew Morley joked: “I thought it was a wheel wash.”
A Yorkshire Water spokesperson said: “Our contract partners M Group are currently on site to carry out a repair to a burst main on the east bound side of the carriageway at 55 St Mary’s Road, Sheffield.
“We’d like to apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and we’re working as quickly as we can to complete the repair. We’d ask that drivers are cautious and follow any traffic management instructions close to the site.”
In July last year Yorkshire Water was losing about 21 per cent of all drinking water to leaks - above the average of 19 per cent around the country.
The firm says about a third of that is in homes due to dripping taps and leaky loos.
