Sheffield driver without licence crashes car on bend as he tries to escape from cops

This was the scene on a busy Sheffield road after a driver ‘smelling of alcohol’ crashed his car on a bend when trying to escape from police.

The collision took place on Halifax Road, Parson Cross in the early hours of Wednesday, April 27, after a 22-year-old Audi S4 driver failed to stop for officers when requested.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Ambition outweighs ability yet again and driver stacks it on a bend.

“Arrested at scene...transpires he has no licence or insurance.”
