Schoolgirl and her dog all set to take centre stage at Crufts

A Chesterfield schoolgirl and her crossbreed dog have secured one of just six places in the prestigious Scruffts Family Crossbreed Dog of the Year final at the worlds greatest dog show, Crufts.

Roxy, a crossbreed, and Olivia Lawrence who attends Heritage High School in Clowne, Derbyshire, won the child’s best friend class semi-final at Eukanuba Discover Dogs at ExCeL London in October and are now preparing for the final in the main arena at Crufts 2016.

Olivia’s aunt, Pauline Lawrence said: “Roxy and Olivia have a great connection. Roxy has such a calm character and she adores Olivia.

Olivia said: “I never thought that someone like me would ever win anything but this has has changed my life. Roxy has changed my life so much and I love her with all my heart for that.”
