Up to 30 people now allowed at Rotherham’s tips
Restrictions at Rotherham Council’s household waste recycling centres will be relaxed from today (Monday May 17) as the governmen’t coronavirus restrictions ease.
As of today, up to 30 people will be allowed on sites at once, with face masks and social distancing in place.
Tom Smith, Rotherham Council’s assistant director, community safety and street scene, said: “As more of society starts to open up across the country we are pleased to be able to allow more people to visit our household waste recycling centres across the borough.
“These changes will make it easier for people to visit the centres and dispose of their rubbish appropriately. We are still expecting sites to be busy and continue to ask people to be patient and treat each other and our staff with respect.”
All sites are open seven days a week, 10am to 6.30pm with last entry 15 minutes before closing.
