Police plea after motorcyclist suffers serious head injuries in Doncaster smash

Police have appealed to witnesses to a serious road accident in Doncaster which left a man with serious head and spinal injuries.

South Yorkshire Police officers have launched the appeal after a motorcyclist was seriously injured following a collision in Cantley on Thursday night.

At 6.05pm, it is reported that a blue Volkswagen Polo collided with a white Ducati motorbike in Ascot Avenue, at the junction where the road meets Sandown Gardens.

The 38-year-old motorcyclist was transported to Northern General Hospital in Sheffield with serious head and spinal injuries.

Police are now appealing for any witnesses to the collision and are particularly keen to hear from anyone with dash cam footage.
