Woman killed in Barnsley crash formally named by police

A 22-year-old woman who died in a collision in Barnsley last weekend has been formally identified as Hannah Elsworth-Utley.

Hannah was killed when the white Audi A5 she was travelling in collided with a tree on Huddersfield Road, in Wilthorpe, at around 1:30am on Sunday, June 21.

She died alongside her boyfriend who has been named in reports as 24-year-old Jack Nunn.

Both families are being supported by specially trained officers, and Hannah’s family have asked that their privacy be respected at this time.

South Yorkshire Police said: “No other vehicles are believed to have been involved, but we continue to appeal for anyone who witnessed the collision, or anyone who saw the car prior, to contact us.”

Anyone with information should call 101 and quote incident number 95 of June 21.
